I am an aquatic ecologist and conservation researcher focused on fish and their ecological and human connections. My research examines how fish interact with their environments and human communities, and applies this knowledge to fisheries management, conservation, restoration, and stewardship.

At 91´«Ã½, I lead the Fish, People, Place Lab, where our research focuses on fish ecology, movement and habitat use, environmental change, and applied conservation and management. We use a combination of field studies, fish tagging and telemetry, environmental monitoring, spatial analysis, and quantitative approaches.

I am particularly interested in collaborative research that brings together students, scientists, government agencies, fishers, communities, and other partners to address applied fisheries and aquatic conservation questions.
