CAIEP Learning Network: Interprofessional Education (IPE) Training
91´«Ã½ faculty Emily K. Dornblaser, Pharm.D., M.S., BCPS and Kin S. Ly, Pharm.D., Ed.D. will cover IP basics and review its impact on your students’ ability to work in teams to provide safe and quality care.
This 90-minute training provides foundational knowledge of interprofessional competencies and their meaningful application in teaching and learning. It is a follow-up to new faculty onboarding and for those newly adopting IPE in their curriculum. Content includes:
• Basic tenets of interprofessional educationand collaborative practice.
• Brief history of IPE/IPCP interest and implementation.
• Coverage of the 2023 IPEC competenciesthat guide IP programming.
• IPE intersection with patient safety, quality, and care
• Overview of CAIEP programming andpossibilities for curricular integration.
