CECE Event: Have You Ever Served? A Cultural Conversation about Veterans as Patients
Vet to Vet Maine will host a conversation about veterans’ experience in the health care system, featuring Command Sergeant Major Gretchen Evans (competitor in World’s Toughest Race and recent recipient of the prestigious, national Pat Tillman Award for Service) and a healthcare provider who will address the stereotyping and stigma veterans face when seeking health care, and explore strategies for developing caregiving relationships.
